About the project
Wiki Loves Monuments is an international photo contest around cultural heritage monuments. It’s organized yearly by Wikimedia chapters and user groups since 2010. The contest is held independently in each participant country (42 in 2016), with local rules and juries; winners of each local contest then participate in an international, global round, where the best photos are selected.
Wiki Loves Monuments Colombia was organized in 2012, 2013 and 2014. I organized the 2012 version on my own and directed the organizing team in 2014. In all three versions, I developed a web tool for greatly easing the work of judges when filtering the best photos from thousands of submissions.
In 2015, I devised Wikivacaciones, a contest that replaced Wiki Loves Monuments Colombia since that year.
