About the project
Rusty Roads is a programming game that allows players to simulate line follower robots. Players can model their robots both physically (distance between wheels and sensors positions) and logically (program in LUA that defines the robot behavior), and simulate them in races with up to 3 simultaneous robots.
The simulator was developed during a research project at Universidad Pontificia Bolivariana, Bucaramanga. It can be used as a tool for practicing basic programming, learning robotics and control systems concepts, and developing line following algorithms without incurring in the costs associated with building a physical robot.
